Great news! Yesterday Dawid was asked to join pre-school group, which means he will actually start proper classes in a smaller group of children. We consider it a 'quick promotion', because kids usually do that at the age of 3. (Feb, 2009!).
Apart from proving his skills and intelligence Dawid is very happy and enjoys his first trial hours with new friends and new tasks. He was already slightly bored and restless for the last few weeks - now we know why - he simply didn't have enough of stimulation in the baby nursery! Well, we are off to Poland tomorrow, so pretty much of stimultaion is to come - Dawid loves planes and he is already quite excited about going to the airport and then seeing Grandparents. We will have an interesting week:)

Dawid in summer
![]() Dawid spent two months with his grandparents in the UK. He learned a lot of Polish and the constant dialogues improved his grammar, so he is able to put together nice sentences - in both languages. He is gradually moving away from nappies, and eats less, but he discovered chocolate and now he loves it:) He saw London, Cambridge and few other places in the UK, felt in love with 'his new car';) He learned to open the doors, clean it and to sit nicely in his toddler seat. He loves travelling in the car and rarely needs to stretch his legs. He had a hard time when mom was away in Budapest, because until today he is asking if she is going away whenever guests leave. He was a good boy though, he also made mum happy talking with her on the phone, explaining what is happening and what is his current mood. He loved the presents from Ildiko and his step-sister Zoe! ![]() Grandparent's departure made him very, very sad, but one of his good friends is coming over tomorrow, and talking to him on the phone made him smile a lot! Even the perspective of nursery tomorrow seems to be a positive thought - brings back a bit of his normal daily routine with mum. He still loves Thomas the Tank Engine (farawell present from Granny - a book full of original Thomas stories, with lots of pictures - made him very happy!) but mum is alowed to read those only in the evening. Regularly Dawid is taking a book, sitting on the sofa and reading it to himself ('James, red Thomas going!' 'No, Thomas, water, careful!' 'Gordon fish to the seaside...' or 'Gordon going...say...''Hello Dawid!'' ':)) proving extremely rich imagination. ![]() One day of last week Dawid became quite popular in Wantage's Sainsbury's, since he pushed the alarm button behind the counter and made everyone jump/run to the entrance to stop the 'guilty one'. Once it was noticed it was the - already quietly sitting ona chair - little boy - everyone lauched and admired him for how humble he became after being istructed not to do so again - mainly the bodyguards who were given a cute chance to try out their security system. One of his nursery friend's mum works there too, so she had fun too. He loves being verbally cheeky too. When asked by Granddad 'Dawid, are you not planning to go to bed?' he asnwered 'Yeeeeahhh.....NOT planning to go bed!'. And whenever he IS cheeky, he says 'Dawid not cheeky...MUMMY CHEEKY!' and smiles, hehe... ![]() He will soon become a teacher of Polish language at the nursery too - his teachers mentioned they would like to teach few words to his mates. Good job he learned a few more lovely expressions like 'Zloto Moje Kochane!' ('You my precious!'). Sadly, Dawid turns out to be slightyl alergic to yogurts and maybe other milk products (too early to say), so he is given coco made on water each evening (good for the diet anyway) and other breakfast. He has diary in the nursery diet, so we skip it at home, if possible. We try to eat calcium in other forms (vegetables and cheese mainly).

little-big thinker
![]() Dawid grows older from one day to another and mum cannot stop but be amazed how smart he is. Nowadays he wants to do everything on his own, and he feels quite frustrated if he is not allowed (to iron!? why not?). He likes to put his shoes on, although he still needs to work out putting the socks on without few tips from gown ups;) He is doing fine! He undresses himself, jumps into a t-shirt with head and arms - at once! He combs his hair, better and better. Brushing teeth is a routine while bathing, and in the morning before food. He even tries to put his own nappy on, but oh well - this won't last too long now, since this week he will train to use potty more often. (He does use it, but only sometimes). He speaks in sentences, very often translating words from Polish to English and vice versa. He remembers events from previous days and weeks! He tells everyone about his time at the seaside with daddy - playing in the sand, about his haircut, about the pigeon trapped in our chimney just above the fireplace:/ (scared his soul out of him while trying to fly out of the room). He opens the car doors with the key, he packs his own bag to nursery and for travelling. He even wants to vacuumclean (alowed to do it just with the end stick) and hang out the washing (this really IS FUN). He always, but always cleans spilled tea or soup and wants to wash his dirty hands. And with this new haircut he does look like a grown up, independent boy:) 'It's aaaalllll gone now!'
Our next, this time quite a big haircut...Dawid was very patient, more interested in lady's 'pst-pst'and 'brush' than the last time, still very polite. Before... ![]() ...After... ![]() And in the evening enjoying the present... ![]() and modelling for the last shoot of the day:) ![]()

long time, long time
...has passed since the last posts and so much has happened! First of all Dawid speaks in sentences now! He is expressing his preferences and needs, as well as dislikes. He uses 'I'! So he does not longer say 'Daid like it!', he would say 'I like it!' which makes a huge difference! He learns a lot of Polish nowadays becasue Grandparents are here during summer and they pick him up earlier from the nursery, spoil a bit, and cuddle a lot:) He loves their car ('Dawid's car') and travelling ('Dawid go to the seaside, not nufery...seaside!'). He also describes what has happened to him. He responds to mum's question, if he had a nice day with a cute, long, teenager-like 'yeeeaaah'. He is very stubbarn when it comes to what HE WANTS:) And slowly, gradually he uses his potty more and more often:) More to come...here's few photos though:
